What's Wrong With This Picture?

There used to be fear. There used to be contempt. There used to be distance. There used to be an understanding. But, something happened. One person lost all fear. The other lost her ever-loving mind.



Yes, this is a picture of Nicholas and Isabella. Isabella is our anti-social, fearful cat. She wouldn’t even be in the same room as him for the longest time. One day she decided that she wanted to look out of the sliding glass door whenever she wanted. She didn’t want to wait until naptime to sit on a chair. Her hissing use to scare Nicholas, but he soon began to hiss back. Her swatting was no longer terrifying, but a “high five”.

Nicholas just started picking her up this week. Strangely, she’s tolerated it. She does still swat at him, but knows it doesn’t bother him. If she starts sitting on his lap, I’m calling the men in the white coats. The girl has gone mad!
