We are now over one of the biggest hurdles to this moving
process – the bathrooms! It was a
slooooww remodel, but it is done. I am
so relieved. We have a little tweaking
to do on the drawers in the main bathroom and need a new shower curtain, but
I’m pretty happy. They each got new flooring, toilets, vanities with sinks, and a coat of paint. The main bathroom also got a new mirror.

We have a few small areas left, which I hope will be accomplished in the next few weekends. In the meantime, we've been fairly busy.
We went to the park and then out for lunch last week. Nicholas had a lot of fun at the park. It is nice to have him a little more
independent. Daniel, on the other hand,
loves to go in the opposite direction we want him to be. The only time I could keep him in one general
area is when I stuck him in a swing.

| He was having so much fun that it was hard to get him to pose for a picture. |

At lunch, Nicholas ran around with some kids while Daniel
showed us how big he is getting. He
didn't want me to put his cheeseburger into small pieces. In fact, he didn't even want me to hold it. They grow up so fast!
Evan celebrated his birthday last weekend and he even had
the day off. He graciously took Nicholas
to see Despic@ble Me 2, instead of what he wanted to see. Then, we met Evan’s parents for dinner. We celebrated his birthday again on Sunday
with my family. He had a nice 3-day
weekend.

His last day off before he went back to work was at the fair. My sister and I have taken Nicholas almost every year. Evan hasn't been there in years. After getting the boys’ haircuts, we went to the fair and started with the food. I don’t think anyone went that overboard, but a little goes a long way for me.

Nicholas also started another round of swimming lessons this
week. He went four days this week and will go three days next week. He continues to do
really well. Nicholas is a diving board
champ. He doesn't just jump, but has to
do some kind of crazy move. One of them
ended up being a “butt flop", but that’s probably better than a belly
flop.
Daniel has really made us long for more space. He does not like to be confined to one part
of the downstairs. He escapes several
times a day, which is fine. But, now his
escapes have become way too easy. He
just climbed over one of the bins the other day and ran away laughing. He keeps us on our toes.

| Look what I can do, Mom! |
School starts in a little over a week. We'll be pretty busy until then, including a play date with new friends tomorrow!
