Yes, He Can!

It is no secret that Daniel doesn't really enjoy naps.  His morning nap has never been fully embraced.  If he makes it to an hour, it is amazing.  Most days it is 25-45 minutes.  His afternoon nap is now over an hour though.  My goal is to get it as close to two as possible, but Daniel hasn't made it easy.

He had trouble falling asleep for yesterday’s morning nap.  He should have been tired, but he was more interested in “talking” and playing.  Finally, he fell asleep.  I went to get him when he woke up and was surprised by what I saw.  Daniel had learned a new skill.

Yes, he took one arm out of its sleeve.  I’m pretty sure that in the near future that I will walk upstairs to find a naked baby.

Daniel’s little steps are becoming more frequent.  He has started walking further distances.  He can also stop halfway through, stand still for a little bit, and then continue on walking.   We can't stop him now!

Finally, we enjoyed the nicer weather today with some ice cream.  The place we went to offered free baby cones to children five and under.  We took that opportunity to give Daniel his first taste of ice cream.  He was unsure of it at first, but we think he enjoyed it.  In fact, after my sister threw the rest of the cone away, he seemed upset that he didn't get to finish it.  He’s definitely going to be ready for his birthday in a few weeks!

That is cold!
