Introducing . . .

I want to formally introduce you to Nicholas, so you can meet the blessing at the end of this wild ride. He has lived his first 27 (almost 28) months in a baby home in Tomsk, Russia, but he is ready to officially become an Ohio State Buckeye (his daddy already tried to teach him how to say, “Go Bucks!”). Nicholas is a very special child, one that we have prayed about for years. Some people may not understand how you can love a child that you did not conceive. After meeting Nicholas, I wonder, how can you not love him? He smiles big with both his mouth and his big brown eyes. He is observant and curious. He smart and funny, always making us laugh. He is our son.

Some of you know that Nicholas became a blessing to our family the day he entered the world, even though we had not met him yet. Because on the day he was born, my grandfather, James Foxall went to be with the Lord. The Lord has turned our mourning into dancing though. My grandfather started a spiritual legacy within our family. He accepted Christ as his savior. We all, on our own time, have done the same. I want Nicholas to know the same Savior as his great-grandfather, which is why we gave him the middle name of James. Leave it to God to give us a clear sign, such as his birth date, that this child was hand-picked for us.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for both him and us during the trials and joys of this adoption process. Without your prayers, we feel like the journey would have been more difficult than it already was. We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we strive to raise our son as a godly young man.

We hope you enjoyed the pictures. We believe that they were worth the wait. We leave in less than 24 hours for Moscow and we have excellent news to report for all those that were praying: WE LEAVE JULY 4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our agency in Moscow worked out all the details. God is so good. Now we don't have to worry about changing our tickets or extra days at hotels. Our son will become a US citizen on July 4th in New York City. How awesome is that?!?

We may not have as much internet access in Moscow, but we will find a way to blog again. Evan has an online test for his class, so we have to be on the Internet this Thursday. If you want to be at the airport, please contact us, or one of our parents for further information. We just know that fireworks will be set off when we come home - literally!
