Are You a Part of the Big Picture?

We have had four families get matched in the last month at our agency. This is both encouraging and frustrating. We are so happy for these families, but a little sad that we have not been picked. We are trusting God and his timing, but it is natural to get discouraged. It does give us more time to fundraise though, so that is the upside.

Right now, I want to continue to highlight our puzzle. For just $10, you can sponsor one puzzle piece. We will put you or your family name on the back of the piece. When the puzzle is complete, we will be able to show our child many of the people that helped to bring him/her home.

We have a lot of our names on there. Do you want to be a part of our child’s story? I have a paypal button on the side of the blog for your convenience. We can also take the payments in person. We are grateful to those that have helped us so far. If all you can do is pray, we are extremely grateful for you as well!

Like I’ve said in the past, the cat puzzle is just a visual. We will be choosing a different puzzle for the final display.

Something that my family is doing this year is sitting down and figuring out ways to bless other people during the Christmas season. November is National Adoption Awareness Month, and this Sunday is Orphan Sunday. I can’t believe how much my own heart has been changed in the last 4+ years. If you feel that you may be called to adoption, please prayerfully consider it and then act. Trust God for each step. It is not easy. But, adoption has truly changed our lives.

As we wait to be matched, we continue to grow and stretch in our faith. I’m thankful that through these adoption experiences that I better understand how much God loves me and adopted me as his own child.
