Nicholas has a big interest in Star Wars right now. We recently let him see Episodes 4-6. These are the 70s and 80s movies. Before that his knowledge came mostly from
books and us. So, a lot of his gifts
this year were Star Wars-related. He got
lots of books and even the DVDs.

He always asks my sister to make his birthday cake. She’s so creative and always does such a good
job. This year she made him an ice cream
cake from scratch. She made sure to add
a Darth Vader candle to go along with the theme.

Daniel’s birthday is still over two months away, but I think
we could just get him balloons and he will be happy. He was enamored with them most of the party.

It was a nice low-key party. He has been busy the last few days brushing up on Star Wars facts, listening to new music, and building Legos. We are celebrating with Evan's family this coming weekend, so the party isn't quite over yet.
