On Tuesday, Nicholas and I went for a walk around our neighborhood. Then we played outside a little bit. Nicholas swept the garage, played some basketball, and drew with some sidewalk chalk. We then came inside and had a glass of hot chocolate. Nicholas loves hot chocolate and asks for it several times a day (but, he doesn’t get it that much). He was warned that it was hot and he should wait for it to cool down. Well, he guzzled it. It apparently wasn’t too hot. However, it was uncomfortable for him when he managed to get it all down the front of his shirt.
Tonight we carved our pumpkin. Nicholas isn’t a big fan of getting his hands dirty. He didn’t mind pulling out a seed or two by hand, but preferred to help by using a spoon. The best part was when Evan was carving the face; Nicholas looked at it and said, “Cool!” We had never heard him say that word before. It was, well, pretty cool. Evan did a pretty good job for being in a rush. Nicholas’ attention span wasn’t very long and we had to give him a bath before bed. It has been fun seeing him experience all these new customs and activities. I’m sure he’ll be more excited about it next year since he knows what to expect.
I hope you enjoyed all of these pictures. Maybe one day soon he'll start looking at the camera.

He probably thinks, "why does my mom keep pointing this thing at me and telling me to smile?"
Love the pumpkin! It's almost as good as ours... ;)
